PENGUIN COVER DESIGN COMPETITION 2024

I found this book quite powerful since I can often put too much pressure on myself when I’m not meeting my own (unrealistic) expectations.

In an attempt to challenge myself, I kept my drawn illustrations to a minimum so I could focus on the graphic design elements and principles.

I attempted to mirror Clear’s advice, of simplifying situations and staying positive by creating a minimalist design with a warm colour palette. From the start, I wanted the white body central which represents how we, as individuals, should focus on ourselves more.
